This year for the first time, 2BU held it’s first prom session organised entirely by our peer support team and what a session it was!

Our peer support team know that endings matter, and prom’s at school and other educational settings, are a way to celebrate this ending. However, for some of our young people, they don’t get this opportunity to celebrate their ending in the way they would want and so, the peer support team felt it in important to hold a prom session for this exact reason. 

The session, with its gold and black colour scheme, Photo Booth section, buffet, music and games was a success and an absolute joy to be a part of and witness. Our young people threw themselves into it, dressed in their best, (some new outfits bought specifically for the occasion!) they belonged, they made memories, and they were able to celebrate an ending in a way that felt most comfortable with their friends around them.

A massive congratulations to our 2025 Peer Support Team, for all their hard work and for giving the group an evening to remember.
